Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of ParentPal, operated by ParentPal Technologies Ltd. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use ParentPal.

2. What ParentPal is — and is not

ParentPal does not provide medical, health, or professional advice. Its guidance, routines, predictions, and the AI assistant (Nina and Atlas) are general informational and organisational support only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a doctor, midwife, health visitor, or other qualified professional.

Always consult a qualified professional about your child's health, feeding, sleep, or development. In an emergency, or if you are worried about your child's wellbeing, contact emergency services or your medical provider immediately — do not rely on the app.

Predictions (nap windows, feed times, night forecasts) are estimates based on patterns and may be wrong. Use your own judgement; you remain responsible for decisions about your child's care.

1. Who can use ParentPal

You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. ParentPal is for parents and caregivers to track and coordinate their own child's care. It is not intended for use by children.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use at hello@parentpal.uk.

4. Subscriptions and payments

ParentPal offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription called ParentPal Together. There is also an optional supporter purchase ("buy us a coffee") that unlocks no features — it is simply a way to support the team. Paid plans and supporter purchases are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Prices are shown in-app before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID → Subscriptions settings. A free trial, where offered, converts to paid unless cancelled before it ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them directly. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

5. The AI assistant

The AI assistant (Nina and Atlas) generates responses using a third-party model (Anthropic / Claude) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Treat its output as general support, not professional advice (see §2). Do not rely on it for medical, safety, legal, or financial decisions.

6. Your content and data

You keep ownership of the information you record. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, sync, and display it solely to operate the service for you and your household. You are responsible for what you log and for the people you invite into your household — only invite people you trust, as they will see your shared care data.

7. Acceptable use

Do not: break the law; misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service; reverse-engineer or copy it except as the law allows; upload harmful or infringing content; or use it to harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

ParentPal, its content, design, and software are owned by ParentPal Technologies Ltd or our licensors and protected by law. This includes the names DayFlow, Playbook, Village, Nina, Atlas, The Nest, and ParentPal Together. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our brand or IP beyond using the app as intended.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep ParentPal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of predictions or AI output.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for decisions you make about your child's care. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Termination

You can stop using ParentPal and delete your account at any time in-app. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or where required by law. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will post the new date above and notify you of material changes in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
